The Kasbah was built to train soldiers for maintaining the Moroccan presence in the Andalus (South Iberian peninsula that belonged to the moors) and later to block the European offensive against Morocco.

The medina of Rabat has a lot of specialties, the food is original. This medina was and still be often visited by the kings of Morocco and their families so it still be very quiet and somehow organized in a nonchaotic way compared to other medinas and because it's between the sea and the river the weather is always good inside the medina.

Nouzhat Hassan Garden
This garden is the best transition between the medina and the new city, this garden was opened 1924, Built in a very unique style which is a mix between Andalusian style and European style. There are public toilets inside so don't hesitate to ask our guide for a break if you need to.
